My first full-length album! This was a big one for me to complete, and it showed me there was a lot I could accomplish at home by myself. The song "This is the Moon" started off my obsession with ego-splitting - I envisioned it as being by the (fictional) band Gelobten, recorded in Düsseldorf in the mid-70s, along with help (and vocals by) friends Razbo Philbert, the Dutch band Tantalus Quenched, and Berkeley noise anarchist Murray-Five. Other selections from this project conjure up off-kilter new wave ("She-She's Pregnant"), indie chamber pop (Greg staple "In Elsinore", "So Glad It's Summer") and enough kosmische/krautrock/motorik to swing a synth at. The Suicide tribute "Vegas Rev-Up" contains Alan Vega and Martin Rev's last names in the title. The Can-esque "Azizhupt" began its life as a groove intended to be a jingle for a major corporation. Try rearranging the letters if you dare, and check in with "BaBa" on Hip Products if you want to see what I settled on instead.
