Luke Maxwell Samothrakis was born on Dec 27, 2013 and I wrote and recorded this ode to my first born son in the months preceding his birth. I knew I wanted to commemorate his birth the best way I knew how - with a song. But I soon realized that I didn't actually know anything about him yet. So the song became an almost frantic list of all the people, places and things that Katie and I cared about, that would wend and weave into his makeup. Two lifetimes of influences wrapping themselves together and emerging as a new strand of life. Here's to you, kiddo.
