Tantalus Quenched, like Panzer Automat from the same era, was meant to be a pastiche of a certain kind of group - in this case, an icy and austere synth-driven post-punk/obscure new wave band (Tuexedomoon were an initial point of reference, as were COIL, though the result sounds little like either) who were now releasing an EP after a long hiatus. Also like the Panzer Automat EP, this consists of three short tracks and a longer ambient/new wave piano improvisation. Does this suggest both "bands" share a member??
