This second Symphony in my series of Mahler responses is the closest to the style and pomp of Mahler's style, but with an attention deficit restlessness that is more in my own cut-up style. The last few minutes of the last section, "The Wedding" are my favorite minutes of "serious" music I've composed, and the ones I'd most like to hear actualized by a chamber orchestra. Until then, it's shitty midi city! So surprised Naxos put it out like this.
